Tony Orantes is a designer and steel fabricator who's interests have guided him to be involved in the creation of architecturally significant modern work. After earning a Bachelor in Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University in 1994, he worked with Allen Root Architectural Metals in San Luis Obispo. There he learned crucial welding techniques and developed a passion for metal fabrication. He moved to San Francisco in 1995 to work with Olle Lundberg and managed his metal fabrication studio. components for high-end residential and commercial projects. He established Orantes Architectural Metals Inc. in San Francisco in 1998 and in 2000 moved the business to Mare Island, CA. Orantes’s work has been installed in commercial, residential and public locations primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as various locations throughout California. |
